EMPLOYER: Thryv, Inc.

JOB TITLE: Senior Product Engineer

LOCATION: Grapevine, TX (telecommute role, may work remotely from anywhere in the US.)

DUTIES: Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and enhance software applications, components and features. Build a product family based on a common platform and shared design libraries. Collaborate with stakeholders to validate user requirements, assess available technologies, and recommend solution options. Ensure that team commitments for each development sprint are met. Collaborate with team lead to ensure that the decisions being made align with the overall technical vision. Collaborate with team members to assess objectives for assigned project phases and recommend technical strategies and tactics to achieve business needs. Utilize process design technology methodologies, programming languages and tools, and solutions design techniques to develop applications to meet business specifications. Validate functional specifications, build technical specifications, and develop application documentation. Perform analysis, design, development and testing of applications to solve business requirements. Integrate new or enhanced application components.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, and 4 years of experience in the job offered or as a software engineer/developer, front-end developer, or in a related/similar position. Experience therein to include 4 years in each of the following:
• Coding and programming;
• Component driven and state management architectures with at least one JavaScript framework (Vue or React) and CSS pre-processors, responsive design development, integration of modern frameworks and expert knowledge in module builders/task runners such as Webpack, Gulp or Grunt;
• Web optimization knowledge for techniques like code splitting and Lazy loading;
• Testing frameworks including Mocha and Jest with expertise in Jest, enzyme, and vue-test-utils for unit testing and specializing in C in cypress and Selenium for regression testing;
• Secure coding best practices and optimization techniques like code splitting, bundle optimization, reduced load time, cache strategies, and enhanced user experience;
• Front-end build tools including Babel and Webpack with expert optimization and configurations;
• Git/GitHub, JIRA, Confluence, and CircleCI; and
• GitHub and Stack overflow for code collaboration and software developing tools.

Telecommute role, may work remotely from anywhere in the US.
